"A toast to living an extraordinary life"
This is the toast Scott Robert made on our last dinner together in Spain. It sums up the week beautifully.
Yes this was indeed a magical week ... How could all of this fit in 1 week? A photo exhibit, A flamenco Show, Wedding Gown shoot, Boudoir/lingerie shoot , late night street and portrait shoot ++...I had 20 hr days and slept 3- 4 hours on average every night and still managed to wake up every single morning to attend Scott's lectures ... I am so glad I did ... I learned so much!!Scott is a great photographer but also an amazing speaker and life coach ..his last lecture was priceless.. "7 life principles for living an extraordinary life" A hollistic perspective on your career and relationships...This is by far the best self help seminar /lecture I have attended... and coming from the Training and development industry I attended a lot ....
What made this one so great was that Scott LIVES BY THE EXAMPLES HE PROVIDES … he gives you tactics FOR THE REAL WORLD and OUR MOST CURRENT REALITIES. Whether you are a 25, 32 40 ,50 single , married etc... he has a way to connect with you…. ...He even allowed himself to get vulnerable and had a AHA moment during that session ; he started crying when he touched the subject of relationships in our lives and he told us that he was living an extraordinary life because of his wife.. She was the relationship that made all this possible for him and he was forever grateful for this....
He also stressed the importance of connecting and contributing to the right community and disconnecting with the unhealthy communities around us. So many of his messages resonated with me as I watch him describe the components of living this extraordinary life… A life of challenges and hurdles for sure but ultimately the most fulfilling of all … I want this life...
f you have been reading my blog ..you know that I am going through a journey myself however I never really shared much details about my personal life on this blog ... After this session it will be very hard to avoid since this part of my life will have to be a part of my extraordinary life.
I had a AHA moment myself ….I have been going on so many dates in the past few months and felt totally out of place or out of space...Most of the blind dates left me wondering if the people who I thought knew me really knew me.. well I have to tell you that in addition to all I have learned this week in terms of photography ... my mentor gave me the answers to this aspect of my life … Actually he asked me the questions and I finally answered... I broke the pattern .... stay tuned…
I have to thank the amazing group I had the privileged to be a part of during this magical week. I know that some of these relationships will last for a very long time.

Now what... well I have so much work on the go (Please note that November is booked for portrait sessions) ..no more space... I am also assisting Scott on a shoot in New York!! YES!!December is filling up very quickly too...

Your images left me speechless and your words leave me uplifted. I wish so badly that I could have been with you all in Spain, but knowing that you were there and have come away with such a life changing experience fulfills me at least by association. :)
You're doing such amazing work already... I can hardly wait to see what the future will bring for you as your style evolves even more and you find your new path. I bet it will be a wonderful journey!

Remember a few years ago when we toasted to the New Year and we had our gratitude prayer you mentioned to me that although you were very happy in general you were not living to your full potential …At the time I did feel that you were being a little hard on yourself and maybe even over the top, to me you were set . the job the life u know...
I understand you now more than ever..I have never ever seen you so alive so primed energized and so beautiful ….. You are in the zone girl. Looks like some powerful energy is at play here Lys don’t get in the way .. trust it ..it is mighty good…weird .. this morning I had a thought of how it would’ve been if I would been in your life today wow …. lol.. Not that I am asking now 2 kids and a wife later lol… (I learned my lessons) we had our differences and I respect you for always being so honest, open and authentic about everything your values and aspirations. I knew I screwed up big time when we split .. ...I am just mesmerized to see how you have and are growing into this amazing stunning woman … and I don’t even think that these words are appropriate .. you are royalty Lys.. and I think that the man who will share this extraordinary life with you is the LUCKIEST SON O.F… … I am happy to have the privilege to still have you as a friend even if it means talking or seeing u once a year I am totally inspired by your journey … much love

Your story is an exciting one and I wish you the best on your journey. Scott is inspiring even to those of us who have known him for many years. Great things don't come without risk and sacrifice but the trick is to know what you want so you risk and sacrifice the right things. Sounds like you have seen your path, well at least the beginning of it. Keep pressing forward as you are now an inspiration to others as well. Great images and I hope to see more soon. =)
